Rite of the Dusty Trail from The Adventures of Mabel & Carter by Betty Benedeadly

  1. Betty Benedeadly plays twang-edelic, foot-stomping ritualistic rhythms and guitar-driven motifs that draw from Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti westerns, surf, and roots rock.

Benedeadly is also the co-founder and guitarist of Sheverb, a womxn-led, collectively run, psychedelic rock & roll band based in Austin, TX

Track from the album: The Adventures of Mabel & Carter, releases February 18, 2022

Betty Benedeadly’s second EP continues the solo musician’s sonic exploration of psychedelic folk, blending her signature cinematic, spaghetti western guitar riffs with surf, Americana and rock & roll. These desert-invoking instrumentals conjure images of dusty horse trails and the open road. They embody the expansive sense of freedom that the American Southwest and road trip adventures inspire, particularly in a civilization emerging from a global pandemic.
