"Since a good friend told us about this album a couple of weeks ago, it's been drilling into our heads with nothing we could do about it.... I remember him sarcastically saying "The best thing Parquet Courts have ever done", something that at first we didn't understand, until we realized that this always reliable friend, maybe wasn't so wrong, as long as we were willing to sacrifice the melodic side of the Brooklyn band, making their sound more convulsive and disjointed than ever, taking it to the extreme angularity, applying that "repetition" that more than 40 years ago was introduced in music by the "mighty" The Fall, and pushing the limits to the point of taking it out of post-punk to turning into pure and unique No Wave, supported by the splendid and raw way of spitting a lyric, which seems to be shot with sniper's skill, by a splendid Dan Shaw who manages to turn the last excellent release of Massachusetts' Landwoner in an authentic masterpiece!"
