about: Lancashire Bombers are a group of like-minded musicians, who have all individually travelled a long musical path: and there’s no stopping them!
With Bret Bolton on vocals/guitar (at some point The Baron Four, MFC Chicken, The Teamsters, The Roves and others), Pete Lay on lead guitar (at some point Dr Sleeze and the STD’s), Alan Walshe on bass/organ (at some point The TrickNoiseMakers, The SD5, The Voyd and others) and Dave Prince on drums/screams (at some point The Hi-Fi’s, Diamond Daddio’s, The Voo-Dooms and others), the Lancashire Bombers have a mighty fine musical credit.
Gathering together in mid-2020, amongst the apocalypse, the Bombers set about recording at Ranscombe Studios, producing ‘Into The Sun’ as a mighty fine result.
Remember those old records that sounded like everyone was gathered around one microphone for the recording? Well, although this isn’t the case, it will take you back, but neatly looking forward. The album opens up with the hard-hitting title track ‘Into The Sun’, with a following that pounds hard Rhythm&Beat; right through to the end of Side B, including the mighty fine take on ‘Slow Down’. Limited to 300, hand-numbered copies, Into The Sun will be a fine companion to any record collection.
Can you hear the Bombers coming?
Line-Up:- Bret Bolton – Vocals/Guitar Pete Lay – Guitar Alan Walshe – Bass Guitar/Organ Dave Prince – Drums/Screams *guest Jim Riley – Harp
