Knife Club feature ZoĆ« Barrow (Casual Nausea) and Andy Davies (Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man/TNSrecords) on vocals, Eliott Verity (Nosebleed) on guitar/vocals, Dan Flanagan (Haest/Matilda’s Scoundrels) on guitar, Dani Rascal (Faintest Idea) on bass/vocals and Chris ‘Big Hands’ Hinsley (Revenge of…) on drums.
Here is the latest Knife Club video. It is taken from their debut album, ‘We Are Knife Club’. The lyrics to ‘Working Class Tories’ discuss why people often choose to vote for parties and policies that seem to be detrimental to their own lives. There are clearly many reasons why this can happen.
The band decided to ask people who follow their social media pages to share ideas about this complex theme. The video is a collection of responses sharing thoughts and ideas about Conservative policy, voting choices and the parties attitude to working class voters, alongside some more in depth comments at the end.
The idea for the video is a nod to the conceptual artist and photographer, Gillian Wearing. We recommend watching on a big screen if possible, so that it is easier to read the comments.
