From the streets of Glasgow in Scotland, Kingpin bring a fresh take on “crossover” by fusing the attitude of hardcore bands such as Biohazard, Cro-Mags, Madball and Sick Of It All with the skull-fracturing blunt force aggression of thrash metal artists like Sepultura, Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies and S.O.D. to forge a frankly obnoxiously heavy and groovy style with a strong focus on big, powerful riffs.

about the video: Lockdown has got us nostalgic for playing live, so we knocked together this compilation of various clips (of varying quality) all the way from our very first show in 2013 up until our last show (for now) at the start of 2020! This video is a tribute to everyone who has ever come and had a dance to us, to anyone who has ever filmed / photographed / otherwise documented what we do, and also to all the great venues that we've had the privilege of playing.
It really tugs at the heart strings to see so many of the LEGENDARY venues no longer with us in this video... eg The Warzone Centre in Belfast, the 12 Bar Club in London and of course our first home, Arc Studios in Glasgow! When social restrictions are finally eased, it's probably going to be a while before all those big international acts you love are going to be able to confidently book tours and come to your city, but in the meantime there will hopefully be a throng of local acts and smaller DIY touring bands playing pretty early doors after we get the all-clear to do so. Please make an effort to come out and support these shows then more than ever, as not only will you be supporting outstanding bands but you'll also help keep venues on their feet. Get out to what you can as soon as it's safe to do so, and let's try and stop more venues from closing their doors and keep live music alive in our cities.
These clips are set to the tune of "They Serve Themselves", the title track from our first 7" released in 2014. Not only is it a real headfirst sprint down memory lane to see all this old footage, but even listening to the recorded version of this song is pretty jarring compared to how different the speed, vocals, solo and loads of other wee things are now compared to the version on wax from six years ago!
Demons Run Amok Entertainment released this for us all that time back, and not only do they currently have copies in stock on their webstore but they also seem to have some of the rarer blue vinyl variant available now. If you're looking for it and can pick it up, go for it - I'm sure independent labels would appreciate all the support we can offer right now!:
