The Country Stars was a German country group founded in 1961 by Uwe Boeme, whose Idol was Johnny Cash, had a lot of radio appearances in 1963 - 1964 at AFN-Radio. There they were "found" by the Star-Club Hamburg. Their only event at the Star-Club in 1964 was a huge success and showed that also a country band fit the Star-Club.
The Band consisted of Uwe Boeme, Roderick Scheffler, Horst Waisnor & Bernd Bogner.
