Die Süddeutsche Hardcore Band Sly Old Dog entstand im Jahr 2014. Durch die langjährige Erfahrung der Bandmitglieder in diversen Bands und ihrer Zugehörigkeit in der Hardcore-Szene, lernten sie sich auf einer Hardcore Show kennen und beschlossen, ihre Erfahrungen und Energie, musikalisch wie auch lyrisch wiederzugeben. Nach etlichen Shows und Festivalauftritten wurde das „warm up-Event“ vom With Full Force gerockt. Unter anderem teilten sich Sly Old Dog die Bühne mit Bands wie Sick Of It All, Madball, Born From Pain, Rise Of The Northstar und vielen anderen hochkarätigen Bands. 2017 wurden weitere Songs geschrieben und vereinzelte Shows gespielt. Der Fokus lag allerdings auf dem Schreiben neuer Songs. Dieser Prozess ließ alle vier Musiker wachsen und wurde mit den Aufnahmen, im Jahr 2018, zur ersten EP „The Harder They Fall“ gefestigt.

We are all the same. That´s it. And it´s not about who has the most Tattoos. Or the biggest muscles, the rarest HC Shirt from ebay, the biggest fanbase on Facebook and Instagram, or who is the badest motherfucker in the pit. There are no colors, genders or dress codes! As a general rule: Fuck fascism - sexism - war - hate - homophobia. It is so easy. Stay united! Worldwide!
