Formed in 2007, The Telestons are a surf n' more band from Pireaus, Greece.
The band consists of two guitars, two saxophones (tenor and baritone), bass and drums. The name is inspired by the greek mythology creature Telesto, an oceanid, daughter of Oceanus and Tethys. Their studio is at the port of Pireaus that is the gateway to the greek islands and the birthplace of rembetiko music.
The influences of the Telestons are surf, rock and roll, psychedelic rock, jazz, thrash, hardcore punk, traditional greek and african music.
