"Murphy Doss" was not one person which may have confused researchers through the years. Hence group info has been scarce. Honcho Russ Murphy is a serious Christian minister today and doesn't want to talk about the past. Even though he wrote a book called Not Alone about love and new found faith which I speculate is a response to the song on the flipside of this - I'm Alone
