Biography: The Rattlers first kicked off right back in 1984 in Watford, just outside London. They got upto scratch and started playing the Rock'n'Roll clubs and pubs once or twice a week, they were playing in some local pub one night when this long haird, young lad approched them and thought they were a great band and would they like to make a record. Thinking it was just some jokeer showing off they went along with it and asked when they could record and he turnt around and said "next week, if its ok" (well it turned out that his dad was a millionaire and was funding his sons latest project) 'Lost Momment Records'. The guys recorded two tracks with him - i dont want you and hey Baby. They went on sale and sold a ton of copies in just a couple of months. The band went on and on for a couple of years with some changes in the line up, and then after a build up the Rattlers ended up spliting....
Nick went on to perform with Paul Roman (The Quakes) and done things here and there with Boz Boorer (Pole Cats). After Nick had finished his tour (Playing Bass ) with paul roman he recived a call from Roy williams (Nervous records) asking what had happend to the Rattlers and that people were asking why they'd stoped playing..... After some talk on the phone Nick had decided it was about time to get the ball rolling again and asked a mate of his (Doug Sheperd) to step in play guitar, obviously he accepted and they soon found themselfs a drummer in a rock'n'roll pub in st.albans (Doug 'mac' Mccarthy), Nick stayed with the bass and took up the singing role of the band, The Rattlers were back in buisness... They went on to playing the gigs again and built up a following, after a little while though Nick decided that he diddnt want to play bass anymore and just wanted to concentrate with the singing. They poached a bass player from a rock'a'billy band (Al Dick) and in Nicks words "one of the best bass players i have ever met....even today". The Rattlers were now a four piece. The band went on to Europe to record a live album (Live Over Europe) and then another two studio albums - Never Say Die and Gangsters and loose woman. They tourd for a few years, gathering a bigger fan base all the time and even went on to record a Music video for MTV, the song chosen was 'Loaded Dice'
Live at the "Why Don't You Just Rock" event in Birmingham, UK (June 2019)
