Glitoris are a four-piece punk rock band from Canberra ACT, Australia, composed of Keven 007 (vocals and guitar), Malcolm (bass), Scott (drums) and Andrew (lead guitar). Glitoris are known for their sharp, abrasive sound and songs that traverse violent, humorous and political subjects through classic punk rock forms in an ambiguous blend of technical musicianship, feminist themes, male rockist homage and parody. The group also incorporate multi-layered vocal harmonies, choreographed movements and performance elements drawn from theatre into their live shows. They usually perform in vivid costumes and make up. Glitoris’ accessible sound, live performances and equality-oriented politics has resulted in a diverse, dedicated fan base, The Gliterati. The band are popular amongst the LGBTQI+ community and often speak out on matters of gender and sexuality equality.
