    The Treble Spankers was an Amsterdam four-piece guitar band that was active from 1993 to 1998. Their first album titled 'Araban' came out in 1994. In addition to the clear and present surf sound in the album's musical influences of Ennio Morricone and Recognize Kraftwerk .

    In 1995 the Treble Spankers signed a contract with record company Polydor . The second album 'Hasheeda' was released in 1996 and produced the song 'Red Hot Navigator'. This song is known as the starting tune of the Danger on the Road television program . Hasheeda contains many influences of world music .

    The group had performances at Lowlands , Crossing Border , Pinkpop and the Lokerse Feesten . When guitarist Gerritsen RSI was diagnosed, a break was inserted. The group fell apart during this period. The band members have been popping up in other projects since, such as Jacaranda, Big Paulus, Parlandos, Ron & The Splinters, Spy-Fi, The Phantom Four and The Herb Spectacles .
