From OP: "RIP Peter Tork. Peter wrote this song (with Joseph Richards) from their 1967 album Headquarters, and it was used as the closing theme of the second series of their TV show. Peter was a brilliant musician who could play a whole heap of different instruments, including guitar, bass, keyboards, french horn and banjo. The Monkees were greater than the sum of their parts - something magical and timeless happened when those four blokes were cast for a TV show about a band, and then became a band. It was discovering The Monkees that nurtured my appreciation of music."
