It was at the beginning of the 1960s that a trio of young guitarists of the same class (in the first year of the INSA Lyon School of Engineering) Jean-Jacques Meizel, Philippe Labonne and Alain Lavis, decided to create a group called "Les Gadgets", to which was added a drummer JP Pascal. At the "baptism of their promotion", in front of the amphitheater of "Propédeutique" packed, they began to make themselves known. The piece chosen was the famous "Apache" launched by their illustrious masters "The Shadows".
