Tracks: 1. He's a Keeper of the Fire 02:09 2. You Don't Know What's Going On 02:25
about: This legendary Atlanta band releases their latest single hot on the heels of their Slovenly Records LP “Flesh Colored Paint”. After two decades of creeping the world out with their disjointed sounds, we really can’t rely on influences to describe Subsonics’ music. After all this time they just deserve to be known for sounding like...Subsonics. This latest Hi-Vo single comprises of two covers that Subsonics surgically disassemble then piece back together. First victim is Buffy Sainte-Marie’s “He’s a Keeper of The Fire” which is a beautifully damaged take on the original, complete with haunting organ from the guest fingers of Sam Leyja (Tiger Tiger). Side B digs deeper with an early 70s cut from Bahamian singer, Exuma. Yes, you will probably have to Google that. Recorded by Matt Verta-Ray with sleeve design by Scott Sugiuchi.
released July 27, 2018
Recorded at NYHED studio on March 3, 2017 by Rocio and Matt Verta Ray
Rockin Clay Reed: Electric Guitar, Vocal Buffi Aguero: Drums, Vocal Rob Del Bueno: Bass Guitar Sam Leyja: Organ
