From OP: A concept record? A totally fucking stupid record? A disciplined record? All three possibly... 'Discipline' sees East Anglian Hardcore terrors, THE DOMESTICS, team up with everyone’s favourite Welsh nutjobs, PIZZATRAMP for a blast of fast, (loosely) concept-driven, hardcore punk.
The gauntlet was thrown down in early 2018. Could both bands hone their ‘short songs are the fucking best’ approach to the absolute max? Can they still do this whilst turning in the high quality, catchy punk racket they’re both known for? What better way to test their mettle than insist upon the 5” vinyl format, thus physically limiting the time available to turn in no less than 3 songs each.
Mission accomplished? You decide!
SIDE A (The Domestics): 1. Fuckin' Die 2. A Quiet Life 3. Shopping
1. FUCKIN’ DIE (0:24)
ORBIT YOUR CORE / DON’T TRAVEL FAR / IN YOUR OWN MIND YOU’RE THE BRIGHTEST STAR / YOU’RE SO LACKING EMPATHY / I BET YOU’LL WONDER WHY WE HAVE A PARADE WHEN YOU FUCKIN’ DIE / NO UNDERSTANDING / NO AFFINITY / NO APPRECIATION / CAN’T YOU FUCKIN’ SEE?
2. A QUIET LIFE (O:17)
DO NOTHING / SAY NOTHING / MAKE NOTHING / BE NOTHING / I WANT A QUIET LIFE / SEE NOTHING / THINK NOTHING / LEAVE NOTHING / CHANGE NOTHING / I WANT A QUIET LIFE / I WANT A QUIET LIFE
3. SHOPPING (O:17)
FILL THE VACUUM BIT BY BIT / FILL YOUR HOME WITH POINTLESS SHIT / YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT / SHOPPING / SHOPPING / SPEND UNTIL YOU’VE NOTHING LEFT / ACCUMULATE A WORLD OF DEBT / SO MUCH STUFF BUT STILL BEREFT / SHOPPING / SHOPPING / SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY UNTIL YOU’VE GOT NO MORE / LET’S MAKE A PACT THAT WE WILL DO NO MORE SHOPPING.
